DOMAINE DE COURTEILLAC BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR ROUGE 2004

GRAPE VARIETIES :   70 % merlot, 10 % cabernet franc, 20 % cabernet-sauvignon Average age of the vines 25 ans. Yield 52 hl/ha.
VINIFICATION :   De-stalking. Manual sorting. Slow fermentation 27°C to 30°C. Post fermentation maceration 15 days. Malolatic fermentation in vats.. Blending. Only 50% of the harvest has been put in the « grand vin ».
AGEING :   16 months : 25 % in new oak barrels - 50 % in one year old oak barrels. The rest in vats.
TASTING NOTES :   Nice and clean ruby color. The wine is quite aromatic and fine smell, with notes of black fruit. Taste of cacao, with flavors of grilled fruits and nuts. The wine is elegant and quite mature. To drink now.
