DOMAINE DE COURTEILLAC BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR ROUGE 2006

GRAPE VARIETIES :   70 % merlot, 10 % cabernet franc, 20 % cabernet-sauvignon Average age of the vines 25 ans. Yield 45 hl/ha.
VINIFICATION :   De-stalking. Manual sorting. Slow fermentation 27°C to 30°C. Post fermentation maceration 15 days. Malolatic fermentation in vats. Blending.
AGEING :   16 months : 50 % in new oak barrels - 25 % in one year old oak barrels. The rest in vats.
TASTING NOTES :   Nice and clean ruby color. The aromas are elegant and well breed, with light notes of oak. In the mouth the wine is smooth, onctuous and dense, with mature notes of black fruit. Ready for drinking now.
