DOMAINE DE COURTEILLAC BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR ROUGE 2007

GRAPE VARIETIES :   70 % merlot, 10 % cabernet franc, 20 % cabernet-sauvignon Average age of the vines 25 ans. Yield 45 hl/ha.
VINIFICATION :   De-stalking. Manual sorting. Slow fermentation 27°C to 30°C. Post fermentation maceration 15 days. Malolatic fermentation in vats.. Blending.
AGEING :   116 months : 50 % in new oak barrels - 25 % in one year old oak barrels. The rest in vats.
TASTING NOTES :   Nice and clean ruby color. Elegant, deep and dense aromas. In the mouth the wine is tasty, fleshy and dense, with flavors of licorice, pepper and blackberry. Well balanced and harmonious, the wine is actually delicious to drink and can still age for a few years.
