DOMAINE DE COURTEILLAC BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR ROUGE 2012

GRAPE VARIETIES :   80 % merlot, 10 % cabernet-sauvignon, 10 % cabernet franc. Average age of the vines 25 ans. Yield 25 hl/ha – Date of the harvest : 5th October 2012
VINIFICATION :   De-stalking. Automatic sorting. Slow fermentation 27°C to 30°C. Post fermentation maceration 15 days. Malolatic fermentation partly in vats.
AGEING :   16 months : 25 % in new oak barrels - 25 % in one year old oak barrels – 50% in vats.
TASTING NOTES :   Nice ruby color, rather dense. A nice fruity flavor, with breed and presence. In the mouth the wine is round and fleshy, elegant and tasty, with a good balance. The final is firm and steady, with an elegant and light wooden taste.
